For the 2008 financial year, UBA declared a final cash dividend of N0.75 per share and a bonus share issue of 1 new share for every 4 shares held. Today was the last day of trading cum-entitlement and UBA closed at a price of N15.20. The price of UBA shares will be marked down to reflect the cash dividend and bonus share issue and trading will open tomorrow at a new price of N11.56.

The cash dividend and bonus share issue are due to be paid on 8 January, pending approval by shareholders at the AGM on 5 January.
